This portrait was created by an Italian Renaissance artist named Leonardo da Vinci of a women named Lisa del Giocondo with a background with trees, water and trails . The Mona Lisa art work was started in 1503-1507 but was completed in 1517.Leonardo de Vinci made the Mona Lisa art work with oil paint on a popular wood. Analysis The Mona Lisa is the most famous painting in the world. The painting is of a women smiling and her hands on top of each other. There is also a background of a village including mountains, trees,trails,and a river. This art work attracts millions of people, and it was since its completion that the painting has received high regards. The woman in the painting is placed calmly and quietly with her hands folded .
